Community is the widest pillar that Penny Brew was founded upon – intensely committed to impacting the neighborhoods East of the Anacostia River (Washington D.C.) by creating a cornerstone location where neighbors become family and strangers become friends. Coffeehouses most often serve as a meeting ground for everyone – aiming for customers to have invested stake in Penny Brew, where their name and favorite beverage are of personal interest to the staff.
Their is a continued effort in highlighting other small businesses and organizations by either utilizing their services and/or spotlighting them in the monthly scheduled events. The Penny Brew approach is to band [small businesses and/or organizations] together to increase in value – it’s a win-win for all invested parties.
